Best Bet: "How Stella Got Her Groove Back," 8 p.m. KFVE: While critics may consider this one of Terry McMillans less successful books, it did make an enjoyable film, mainly due to the picture-perfect good looks of the May-December couple played by Angela Bassett and Taye Diggs and the leavening humor of Whoopi Goldberg.
Westminister Kennel Club Dog Show, 8 p.m. USA cable network. Unless the hilarious spoof film "Best of Show" put you off dog shows forever, check out the pampered pooches in this top-notch competition, always an enjoyable peek into a rarified world where folks take canines very, very seriously.
Bon Jovi Crush Tour, 7 p.m. FoxFamily Channel. Why this is on the family channel is among lifes mysteries, but fans of the vintage rock group wont want to miss this concert film taped last August in Zurich.
Frasier, 8 p.m., NBC. A Valentines Day-themed show features one of those maybe-he-did and maybe-he-didnt plotlines, in which Frasier, feeling left out because he has no sweetheart, may or may not meet Someone Nice (played by Charlotte Ross).
NYPD Blue, 9 p.m., ABC. There are, as usual, some nice touches and nuanced performances Rick Schroders Danny showing unexpected tenderness to a homeless man, Kim Delaneys Diane verbally assaulting a suspect who deserves it and Bill Brochtrups John interacting sweetly with little Theo. Yet there also are scenes that ring false or fall flat: Dennis Franz Andy becoming suddenly at ease with a new date and the primary murder plot, which is investigated and solved with an almost tired air of inevitability.
