Hawai'i gets new Net service

Advertiser Staff

iMagic Network Inc., an Ohio company, has launched a new Internet service in Hawai‘i and plans to introduce high-speed access, DSL connections, paging, wireless home security, long-distance and other digital communications services.

The services are being distributed locally by eNet Solutions (www.enetmarketingsolutionsinc.com, 351-8647).

The basic dial-up service fee is $12.95 for activation and $18.95 monthly.

A "Pro-Version Service," in which iMagic promises enhanced dial-up speeds through "transcoding" technology, is due in early March. This service (introductory offer: $89 activation, $23.95 monthly) can deliver up to 10 times conventional dial-up speeds, according to the iMagic announcement.

However, the enhanced speeds don’t apply to downloading music and video files (for more on limitations: www.imagicnetwork.com/member/limitations.htm).
