How do you keep love new?

Advertiser Staff

Is your partner a charmer? Do the two of you trip the romantic fantastic?

With Valentine’s Day approaching and romance in the air, we’d like you to tell us about the things you and your partner do to keep each other in love.

Time can snuff out the giddy feelings from when you first met. But maybe you keep the fire smoldering by sending each other flowers. Perhaps you make sacrifices, or you make a big deal of minor anniversaries. Maybe you send the kids to grandma’s so you can go on "dates." Maybe you go to church, take a class or indulge in a hobby together.

Won’t you help other couples enrich their relationships by sharing your story? What is the most romantic or helpful thing you and/or your partner have done to build or maintain your relationship? Or, can you tell the story of how the two of you pulled your relationship back from the edge?

Write: Keep the Fire Burning, Ohana Section, The Honolulu Advertiser, P.O. Box 3110, Honolulu, HI, 96802; e-mail ohana@honoluluadvertiser.com; fax 535-8170. Include your name, city and phone number. Deadline: Jan. 31.
