Fun House
3-year-old gets his priorities straight

A couple of weeks ago, family friends helped us celebrate the first birthday of our youngest son, Cameron. Since my husband is in the military, we decided to host the party at Hickam’s Kids Sports. The facility is similar to Discovery Zone, which used to be in the Waikele Shopping Center. The older children were all seated in a circle as they played games.

When the games ended, an announcement was made that it was time to eat cake and ice cream. A cheer went up as the 12 little guests began to get excited about having sweets.

One of the facilitators wanted to encourage the children to wash their hands first. So she said to the children, "Before we eat, what do we need to do?"

Without hesitation, our 3-year-old son Christopher simply answered, "Pray."

And after washing their hands, that’s exactly what they did.
