Advertiser Staff

A city bus driver found a 14-year-old Pearl City girl lying injured in the road near Pohakea Elementary School in ‘Ewa Beach today in a possible hit-and-run, officials said.

She was found shortly before 5:30 a.m. in a crosswalk in the middle of Fort Weaver Road near North Road, said fire Capt. Robert Ludwick of the ‘Ewa Beach station.

Her head and leg were injured and she could not explain what had happened, Ludwick said.

The girl was taken to St. Francis Medical Center-West in serious condition, said Chris Ano, District Chief of the Emergency Medical Services.
