• McCULLY-MO'ILI'ILI PUBLIC LIBRARY BOOK SALE is accepting donations for an ongoing book sale; 2211 South King St.; hours: 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. 973-1099.

• Festival for Teen Readers, students from grade six to college age join with literature circle mentors, authors and professionally trained readers to discuss novels, short stories, plays and poems; 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. April 28; UH-Manoa Art Auditorium. Festival guests: authors Orson Scott Card, Namoi Shihab Nye, Ian MacMillan, Wing Tek Lum, Kathleen Tyau, Gary Pak, Lois-Ann Yamanaka, Yokanaan Kearns, Lisa Kane and Lee Tonouchi.
