BEGINS TOMORROW

• Honolulu Community Action Program upcoming microenterprise training classes for the prospective small business owner will be free to low-income persons: 9 to 11 a.m., April 3, 4, 5, 11 and 12, at 1120 Maunakea St., suite 280. • The top U.S. commercial officer in China, Thomas Lee Boam, the minister's counselor for commercial affairs, U.S. Embassy, Beijing, will participate in a luncheon lecture and panel discussion Wednesday at the East-West Center, Garden Room. • A free, two-day trade show of seminars and exhibitions of interest to small-business owners will be offered 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., April 10-11 at the Blaisdell Center, Exhibition Hall, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of Hawai'i. • The Japan-America Institute of Management Science (JAIMS) will host a series of upcoming seminars focusing on fundamental and advanced concepts for doing business with, and within, China.
