Oldest brother sees way to get break from chore

By Bob Kamagida
Special to the Advertiser

All five of our children had chores to do when they were growing up. Our first son helped his mother by ironing his and his younger brothers' clothes.

He wisely figured out how to eliminate some of that ironing by convincing his mother to buy metal pants-creasers that were inserted into the legs of the trousers, which were then hung up to dry.

But to cut down on the number of shirts he had to press, he had this to say to his brothers: "Hey, you guys, you don't have to change shirts every day, you know!"
