JOSEPH KALAAUPA AMARAL, 64, of Lahaina, Maui, died April 11, 2001. Born in Lahaina, Maui. A pipe fitter retired from Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. Survived by wife, Rita May; sons, Sheldon Leroy, Joseph Kahalewai, Leland Kealoha, Curtis Kauahi, Calvin Kalani and Jaime Kaleo Allado; daughters, Wendy Hoku, Nanette Uilani, Cynthia Kobylanski, Sandra Smith, Suzanne Myers and Juliet Kinimaka; 38 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Edmund and Abel; sisters, Gwen Lutey and Gloria Akiona.Visitation 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday at Waiola Church, Lahaina, Maui; service over the ashes 8 p.m. Arrangements by Nakamura Mortuary.

BARNEY B.N. CHUNG, 77, of Honolulu, died April 9, 2001. Born in Kekaha, Kaua'i. A retired federal employee with Plans and Support Division Central Ammunition Management Office, Fort Shafter. Survived by wife, Jane; daughters, Heather Purcell and Holly Lindsay; five grandchildren; brother, Richard "Migi" Kim; sisters, Helen Crouch and Hazel Willis. SHIGEO "BILL" FUKUDA, 92, of Honolulu, died April 2, 2001. A retired mechanic. TETSURO "TED" KUNIMURA, 78, of Honolulu, died April 7, 2001. Born in Hilo. A retired watchmaker. SACHIKO FUJITA NOMURA, 77, of Honolulu, died April 7, 2001. Born in Honolulu. A cashier retired from Sears Roebuck and Company. Survived by daughter, Naomi Kanehiro and Gwen Horita; brother, Yasuhiro Fujita; sisters, Taeko Fujita, Marion Magarifuji, Harriet Tanigawa and Jane Morimoto; two grandchildren. Private service held. CELESTINO "TINO" SEGUISABAL, 87, of Wai'anae, died March 27, 2001. Born in Cebu, Philippines.
