Agbayani says his hand 'feels good'

Advertiser News Services

The cast on Benny Agbayani's left wrist has been removed and the left fielder did some running Saturday. Agbayani hasn't swung a bat since suffering a chip fracture to a bone in his left hand.

The former St. Louis and Hawai'i Pacific athlete is due to come off the disabled list April 24.

"It feels good," Agbayani said.

Mets manager Bobby Valentine is encouraged by Agbayani's progress.

"Benny feels real good and probably will swing tomorrow," Valentine said.
