'Hulawood' show will raise money for Hawai'i Theatre

VON BRANA: Tribute to Elvis is a fund-raiser
Jonathon Von Brana will present a tribute to Elvis Presley and the films the King made in Hawai'i at "Hulawood — That's Entertainment in Hawai'i," a Hawaii Theatre Centre benefit slated for April 27 at the Kahala Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

Festivities start at 6:30 p.m., with cocktails and a "Hooray for Hulawood" auction, followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m. Black tie is optional.

The program will be emceed by Charles Memminger, Honolulu Star-Bulletin columnist, with other performances by Keoki Kerr, Stefanie Smart and Blaine Kia, plus dancers Brenda Ignacio and Tony Silva. Willie Barton's Band, featuring Althea Train, will provide musical accompaniment as well as dance music.

A few reservations remain.

Tickets: $175 per person; platinum tables of 10, $10,000; gold tables, $5,000; silver tables, $3,500; and bronze tables, $1,750.
