13-month-old boy killed in driveway

A 13-month-old boy was killed when his father accidentally struck him with his car Tuesday night in Kahuku.

Police said the man, 28, was backing his 1994 Acura Legend out of his driveway shortly after 7 p.m. when he felt a bump. The man got out and found his son lying behind the car with head injuries.

The man took his son to Kapi'olani Medical Center at Pali Momi and the infant was then taken by helicopter to the Queen's Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 7:36 p.m. Police have classified the incident as a non-traffic fatality.

Police seek leads in O'ahu blasts

Police are seeking information about suspects responsible for igniting four bombs this month in 'Ewa and Kapolei.

The explosions April 2, April 9 and April 10 damaged a trash can, park restrooms and a book repository at 'Ewa Library.

No injuries were reported.

Witnesses told police on several occasions that teenagers were seen running from the scene. Firework powder was used to make the bombs.
