WAH DUCK YOUNG, who saved the legendary Chung Shan School, also known as the Sun Yat Sen Chinese Language School, died April 13 of cancer. He was 87. See story.

JAMES W. LOVELL, retired president of Lewers and Cooke, a decorated World War II veteran and former Hula Bowl coach, died Sunday in Honolulu at the age of 94. See story.

LOUIS DALE BONNER, 52, of Volcano, Hawai'i, died April 15, 2001. Born in Cleveland, Ohio. A special education teacher for Ka'u High School and member of HSTA and NEA.
