Your dream vehicle awaits at Servco Web site

By Vicki Viotti

Now there will be nothing to stop you from satisfying your automotive longings, not even the dreaded encounter with a car salesman.

Servco Pacific Inc. has quietly launched its new online Toyota dealership, www.servcoautocenter.com. The site sold its first vehicle, a RAV4, nearly two weeks ago, although the promotional campaign will start in a week.

There are other dealership sites: honoluluford.com and tonyhonda.com, for example. But Bryan Lee, general manager of Servco's cyber-operation, said this site is distinct for stowing the company's complete inventory online so shoppers know instantly whether or not their dream chariot is in stock.

Additionally, buyers can click in a request for a model and options, and receive a firm price from the Web site's computer.

This, Lee said, is figured by averaging the prices negotiated by other customers buying the same car on the Servco lot. It ought to appeal to anyone willing to sacrifice possible savings for the peace of a no-haggle deal.

Financing can be arranged online, too, and customers are contacted to schedule test drives, confirmation of the deal and delivery.

Someone answers the online office phone (564-2350) from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., but that Web site works around the clock.

This means you can automotively salve your midlife crisis any time of the day or night.

Scary.
