Woman's car hits Palolo home
Advertiser Staff
A 18-year-old woman escaped injury last night when her car drove off the roadway and slammed into a house in Palolo, police said.
The accident happened at about 10:30 last night when the woman driver, traveling south on Palolo Avenue, swerved into on-coming traffic to avoid a reversing car, police said.
The driver swerved back, but lost control of the car, jumped a curb and plowed into the house at 1159 Palolo Ave., police said.
Police said the house suffered structural damage and they were afraid if they towed the car the house would collapse. No one inside the house was hurt, police said. No criminal charges will be made in the case, police said.
The woman driver was treated and released from the Queen's Medical Center.
