Fresno State refund procedure detailed

Advertiser Staff

University of Hawai'i football season-ticket holders who want refunds to the Fresno State home game will be allowed to do so by mail or hand-delivery.

The game, originally scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 27 at Aloha Stadium, was moved to Friday, Oct. 26 to accommodate ESPN, which signed a deal with the Western Athletic Conference and wanted to televise Friday night games.

Football season tickets will be mailed out Aug. 21. If season ticket holders want a refund for the game, they have until Sept. 18 and must use one of two options:

• Mail in Fresno State game tickets to the UH Ticket Office and include a self-addressed envelope. Mail-ins must be postmarked by Sept. 18 or earlier;

• Hand deliver tickets to the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office during normal business hours and bring a self-addressed envelope. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The office is closed weekends and state holidays.

The address to mail in tickets for a refund is:

Stan Sheriff Center Box Office
1337 Lower Campus Road
Honolulu, HI 96822

UH originally had a policy that ticket holders would have to surrender their entire season ticket package in order to get a refund. New UH president Evan Dobelle suspended the practice until it can be reviewed.

UH opens its season Sept. 8 against Montana on Maui. The Warriors then travel to play at Nevada Sept. 15 before playing their first game in Aloha Stadium against Rice Sept. 29.
