Five armed men raid gambling room

Five men armed with guns raided an illegal gambling room in the Ala Moana area today, holding up patrons and ransacking the office before fleeing, police said.

The robbery happened just before 12:25 a.m. on 916 Queen St. when the five robbers walked into the parlor and held up about 30 patrons.

The robbers then forced their way in the the office and took an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured during the robbery, police said.
