In this mass-marketed culture, it's good to know there are lots of people — your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, yourself! — who still personalize their lives with hand-made creations. This weekend's Sew-Quilt and Craft Expo is aimed especially at them, and includes an exhaustive list of exhibits, workshops, demonstrations, displays, make-and-take-home opportunities. Exhibitors from the Islands, the Mainland and Canada will offer all manner of gadgets, fabrics, kits and patterns, stencils, wearable art, beads, jewelry, scrap-book material, the list goes on and on. Kaye Wood, national quilt expert and PBS personality, is the special guest star; "Fall in Love with the Cloth Doll" and "Hawaiian Quilts on Parade" are special displays. It all takes place noon-8 p.m. today, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall. Admission is $6 ($1 discount coupons in the Advertiser and at fabric stores, Ben Franklin stores and online at www.pcmexpo.com); free for kids 12 and younger. 527-5400, (800) 472-6476.
