Tell us about your cool summer

Here's our annual call to all young writers: Did you do something cool this summer? Write a letter to KidNews, the section that appears on the back cover of the 'Ohana section. We'll publish parts of as many letters as we can in a coming issue.

Maybe you've learned a new skill or hobby. Maybe you've volunteered, joined a program or traveled somewhere. Maybe you've hung out with friends, or made new ones.

It's optional to send along a photo of yourself having fun this summer. Just make sure it's a copy you can spare, because we can't return any pictures. Deadline: Sept. 5.
