TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE (network TV): "Monday Night Football," 7 p.m., ABC. Think of this as the pre-pre-season. It's the annual Hall of Fame Game from Canton, Ohio. The game the St. Louis Rams and Miami Dolphins means nothing. Still, it lets the controversial ABC team start its second year. "There's always going to be a little bit of difficulty, when you blend new voices together," says Al Michaels, the play-by-play man. "People are going to step on each other."
TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE (cable): "Next: The Future Just Happened," 6 p.m., A&E; concludes Tuesday. In one U.S. family, life was upside-down: The dad was in the basement playing with his train set; his 13-year-old son was upstairs trading stocks on the Internet. Eventually, the government cracked down on the boy for manipulating prices. That's one of many fascinating tales that writer Michael Lewis offers in the first half of a look at the computer revolution.
"Fear Factor," 7 p.m., NBC. This nasty reality show actually seems proud of what it has been doing so far. Tonight it pauses to show highlights from the previous episodes, emphasizing the scariest and grossest moments.
