Motorist robbed at Moanalua light stop

Police today were searching for a man who robbed a 21-year-old motorist during a drive-by robbery in Waimalu last night.

According to police, the robbery happened at 11:45 p.m. as the motorist was stopped at a traffic light at the intersection of Moanalua Road and Kaonohi Street.

Police said a robber got out of a car that had pulled up alongside the motorist and then opened the motorist's door, told the man he had a gun and stole the man's wallet. The robber fled in the getaway car which was driven by another man, police said. The motorist was not injured, police said.

Police searching for missing Puna girl

The Hawaii County Police Department is looking for a 15-year-old girl who has been missing from her residence in Glenwood, Puna, since May 29.

The missing girl was identified as Terrylynn Molcilio.

Molcilio is of Puerto Rican and Portuguese descent, 5-feet-2 in height, weighs about 135 pounds and has shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call Officer Peter Kualii of the Hilo Juvenile Aid Section at 961-2373 or the police non-emergency number at 935-3311.
