Animal calendar

Aug. 25: Paws on the Path, a hiking group for people and their dogs, hikes Likeke in Kane'ohe starting at 9 a.m. (meet at 8:45 a.m.). The trail leads to a waterfall. Sept. 1 and 2: Benefit Horse Show, jumping events, riding exhibitions, rides, country store, flea market, food booths, Maunawili Farm, Kailua. Free. Hours: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday. Maunawili Farm is at 1015 Auloa Road, Kailua. Event benefits Hawaiian Humane Society's work protecting horses and other companion animals.
