An estimated 500,000 viewers have been added to the potential audience for University of Hawai'i football games this season, KFVE (Channel 5) has announced.

John Fink, president and general manager of KFVE and sister station KHNL (Ch. 8), said he has reached an agreement with the Fox Digital Network to add eight UH home games to the network's late-night offerings on the Mainland.

Last season, KFVE made UH home games available to a potential audience of nearly 3 million homes on the West Coast as part of Fox Sports West.

Fink said the main markets served by the new deal will include Dallas, Phoenix and St. Louis. Neither KFVE nor UH receives any rights fees in the deal but the value is in exposure for the school, Fink said.
