What's open and closed tomorrow, Admissions Day

Here's how public services, financial institutions and visitor attractions will be affected tomorrow by Admissions Day, a state and county holiday.

GOVERNMENT

  • Federal offices: Open.
  • State offices: Closed.
  • City, county offices: Closed.

SCHOOLS

  • Public: Closed.
  • UH:
    • Offices: Closed.
    • Classes: Closed.
    • Sinclair: Closed.
    • Hamilton: Closed.

PUBLIC SERVICES

  • Libraries: All closed.
  • TheBus: State holiday schedule, with express service; slightly reduced, regular weekday and express bus service for military bases and downtown Honolulu.
  • On-street parking: Free, except for metered Kalakaua Avenue spaces adjacent to Kapi'olani Park; holiday towaway zone parking as permitted by sign; municipal lot meters must be fed.
  • Traffic: No coning.
  • Trash: Regular residential and business pickup.
  • Landfills and convenience centers: Open.
  • Open Markets: Not in operation.
  • Municipal golf courses: Open.
  • City Recreation Centers: Open.
  • Mail: Regular post office hours, delivery service and mailbox pickups.
  • Handi-Van: Operating.
  • Humane Society: Open, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Blood banks: Dillingham center open; downtown center closed.
