Newlyweds

Puaokahaukea Bairos, daughter of Deborah A. Bairos and Alistair W. Bairos of Kealakekua, and Brandon Allen Duffield, son of Joyce L. Duffield of Perris, Calif., and Brian Dean Duffield of Chino Hills, Calif., were married April 14 at Bernice Pauahi Bishop Chapel. The reception followed at Hale Ikena in Fort Shafter. The bride (1997 Kamehameha Schools), now Puaokahaukea B. Duffield, formerly of Kealakekua, is a therapeutic aide. The groom (1995 Temple Christian Academy), formerly of Newport Beach, Calif., is an avionics technician for the Navy. They live in Kane'ohe.

Andrea M. Hathaway and Steven A. Chow were married June 22 at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. The reception was held Aug. 14 at The Chef's Table in Hawai'i Kai. The bride (State University of New York at Stony Brook master's), now Andrea M. Chow, is a high school teacher. The groom (McKinley High, University of Hawai'i education degree) is a retired high school teacher. They live in Honolulu.

Engagements

Edward Thomas Coda and Betty Lew Coda of Honolulu have announced the engagement of their daughter, Chryslyn Lew Coda, to Thomas Wayne Hayes, son of Joanna Kleitches of Winston-Salem, N.C., and the late Kenneth James Hayes, and nephew of Frankie Hayes of Pilot Mountain, N.C. Chryslyn Coda lives in Honolulu. Thomas Hayes, formerly of Pilot Mountain, also is a resident of Honolulu. They plan to marry Nov. 3 in Honolulu.

Susumu and Nancy Hashimoto of Kane'ohe and Thomas and Elizabeth Amuro of Honolulu have announced the engagement of their children, Holly T. Hashimoto and Ryan C. Amuro. Holly Hashimoto, of Kane'ohe, is a retail advertising coordinator. Ryan Amuro, of Kane'ohe, is an electrician. They plan to be wed Sept. 1 in Kapolei.
