Man sought in Waipahu stabbing

Police today were searching for a 37-year-old man after a woman was stabbed in the neck in a confrontation in Waipahu last night.

Police said the man became agitated in a home he shared with the woman, 22, at 94-087 Leowaena Street.

She and other occupants took refuge in other rooms, but a fight ensued when she came out. The man stabbed her and fled, police said. The woman went to a neighbor's house and reported the attack.

The woman was taken to the Queen's Medical Center in serious condition, police said.
