"Ghost World": A quirky teen drama about two friends (Thora Birch, Scarlett Johansson) who spend their summer after high school contemplating the future, all the while being watched by another person, unbeknownst to them. Opens tomorrow at Varsity Twin. (R).

"Jeepers Creepers": A brother (Justin Long) and sister (Gina Phillips) return home during college break and discover a creepy creature in the basement of a church. You can guess where the plot goes from there. "O": Shakespeare's tragedy "Othello" retold in a modern high school, where Odin James (Mekhi Phifer) loves Desi (Julia Stiles), but is taunted into jealousy by the evil Hugo (Josh Hartnett). Follows the plot fairly closely, sometimes even quotes some of the original lines, and provides an illuminating companion for any reading of the play, with a powerful conclusion.
