Get the family into holiday spirit

Families can get into the Christmas spirit early with an original puppet play and make-and-take art activities at Keiki Christmas Family Day, a free event, 1 to 5 p.m. today at the Honolulu Academy of Arts.

Children can listen to a storytelling Santa Claus who will have a bag full of goodies, and they can make Santa ornaments to take home. There will also be a Puppets Unlimited play, "The Little Fir Tree," at 1:30, 2:45 and 3:30 p.m in the Education Wing Gallery. The show is free, but space is limited and a ticket is required for entry. Advance tickets will be available 1 to 3 p.m. at the academy's Beretania Street entrance. For details, call 532-8700.
