Authorities raid Lanikai home for drugs

Charges are pending in a drug raid at a Lanikai home yesterday that culminated in the arrest of 12 people.

Undercover officers with a search warrant converged on the house at 127 Mokumanu Drive at 6 a.m. yesterday and confiscated crystal methamphetamine, marijuana, glass pipes and other drug paraphernalia.

Neighbors in the area have complained for about a year about the noise and traffic, which has escalated in the past few months, said a spokesman for the Kane'ohe police crime reduction unit that conducted the raid with assistance from the narcotics and vice division.

City prosecutors are investigating whether the home will be seized, said Jim Fulton, a spokesman for the prosecutor's office.
