Alternative parking sites for UH-BYU game

Alternate parking sites for the BYU-Hawai'i football game Saturday at Aloha Stadium will be at Radford High School, Leeward Community College and Halawa bus facility.

Parking at Radford will be $2 with no shuttle service.

Parking is free at Leeward Community College and a $2 round-trip shuttle service will be available.

Parking at the Halawa bus facility will be $3 with a free shuttle service.

Shuttles will run from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., and 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.


GOLF

• Woods and waves: Florida's Kelly Slater shot a 4-over-par 76 to win the inaugural Vans Triple Crown of Surfing Hawai'i Golf Championship Monday at the Arnold Palmer Course at Turtle Bay Resort.

The 18-hole event was restricted to the world's top professional surfers, who are currently in Hawai'i competing in the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing on O'ahu's North Shore.

Ross Williams of O'ahu's North Shore was second, five shots behind Slater. John Shimooka, a former Honolulu surfer who now resides in Australia, was third.


BASKETBALL

• The book on Riley: University of Hawai'i men's basketball coach Riley Wallace will sign copies of his new book, "The Rainbow Circle of Excellence: Lessons From a Championship Season," Friday at the Bestsellers Books & Music at Bishop Square.

Wallace is scheduled to be there from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
