Warriors dominate BYU in season-ending game

A charged-up University of Hawai'i team dominated the ninth-ranked Brigham Young University Cougars today, 72-45, before a nationally televised audience and capacity Aloha Stadium crowd.
UH quarterback Nick Rolovich set a school record throwing for eight touchdowns in a dazzling display of throwing accuracy.
The UH score was the most points the Cougars have ever given up in a game. Until today's loss, BYU had gone undefeated this season with 12 wins.
The wild game was punctuated by multiple fumbles for both sides, celebration penalties and even a BYU cheerleader throwing a punch at a UH player.
Hawai'i and BYU, long-time rivals, played a largely passing game, with the Warriors capitalizing on the absence of the Cougars' star running back Luke Staley. Staley was sidelined by a broken fibula last week.

The Warriors end their season 9-3.
The game was televised by ESPN2, but fans were disappointed when the network cut away in the fourth quarter before the end of play to switch to the North Carolina State versus Syracuse basketball game.
