Advertiser Staff

Tamara Albertini, a University of Hawai'i-Manoa philosophy professor who specializes in Islam and grew up in an Islamic country, will give a lecture on "Muslim Women: Their Contribution to the Making of Islam."

The free program as part of the UH-Outreach College will be held at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 6 in the Yukiyoshi Room at Krauss Hall on the Manoa campus.

The lecture will highlight the importance of women in Islam. It will show how their testimony and critical questions to the prophet Mohammed have helped shape Islamic scripture and religion.
