Deaf and hearing-impaired keiki can share their Christmas wishes with a Santa who knows sign language, 10 a.m. to noon Friday at Pearlridge Center Uptown. The free event, in its 10th year at Pearlridge, will include free goodies for the children, including lunch, cookies, a photo with Santa and school supplies.

There will also be entertainment, including signing performances by Ed Chevy and students from Kea'au and Wailuku elementary schools, a mime show by Julie McBane and storytelling by Colleen Matusof and Ms. Deaf Hawai'i, Joy Lopez. Organizers are expecting about 150 children to attend.

The event is being presented by the Hawai'i Center for the Deaf and the Blind, Gallaudet University Regional Center at Kapi'olani Community College and the Kapi'olani Community College ASL/Interpretor Education Program. Information: 488-0981.
