Fun House
Sometimes never is better than late

By B.J. Taum, Kailua

It was late on a school night in the middle of another busy week. Our young family had been asleep for hours when the phone rang. I hastened to answer it, and the caller, a girl, asked to speak with our 12-year-old son.

I said, "Young lady, do you realize what time it is?"

She replied, "Yeah, it's 11:30 p.m."
