Straub Clinic and Hospital has announced two appointments: DR. DAVID TOM, joining the psychiatry and psychology department, specializing in the psychiatric care of children, adolescents and adults; and DR. BRADLEY K. LEE, who has joined the Straub Kapolei Family Health Center, specializing in primary care for the family, men's and women's health, adolescent development and general pediatrics.
JOHN M. DOWD has joined the Turtle Bay Resort as director of marketing as the oceanfront property undergoes extensive renovation. He will be responsible for all resort-level marketing, advertising, promotions and press relations activities.
KATHRYN MATAYOSHI, director of the state Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs since 1995, has been named chairwoman of the YWCA of O'ahu board of directors. The five-term board member is a previous YWCA first vice chair, former head of the Hawaiian Electric Co. legal department, and former attorney will Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel law firm. Other new YWCA board officers include first vice chair, CATHY KELI'IHO'OMALU; second vice chair, Kim Gould; third vice chair, Caroline Ingersoll; secretary, LINDA GILCHRIST, and treasurer, MARLENE DeCOSTA.
ANNE BONILLA, most recently operations supervisor for Bank of America, Honolulu, has been named manager of the American Savings Bank branch at Richards Street, downtown Honolulu. Also named was ELROY ABE, branch sales manager, Bishop Square branch, downtown.
GUY K. TAMASHIRO of West Oahu Realty Inc. has been named chairman of the 2002 board of directors of The Honolulu Board of Realtors¨. Other officers include chairman-elect, Anne I.W.Keamo of Properties Unlimited Inc.; vice chairman, Dale K. Bordner of Bordner Realty; treasurer, Allison A. Lum of Plum Associates Inc.; and immediate past chairman, John R. Connelley of Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties.
Honolulu-based research and consulting company SMS Research and Marketing Services has announced the affiliation of WARREN DASTRUP, former employee and currently an independent consultant on Kaua'i, enabling the Honolulu office to expand its presence to the Garden Island. Dastrup is veteran of more than 20 years in the research and consulting field.
