More Pleasant Hawaiian Holidays flights ahead

Pleasant Hawaiian Holidays said today it will increase the frequency of its flights to Hawai'i from Los Angeles and San Francisco to three per day starting in May.

Pleasant Hawaiian, based in Westlake, Calif., said it agreed with American Trans Air Inc., the nation's 10th largest carrier, to boost the number of flights from the current one per day during winter and two per day during the summer travel seasons.

These daily trips from Los Angeles and San Francisco will provide additional flights to and from Honolulu, Kaua'i and Maui, the companies said. ATA said it will use new 243-passenger Boeing 757-300 aircraft for these flights.

"This initiative reaffirms our longstanding commitment to the Hawai'i market and ATA," said Ron Krueger, Pleasant Hawaiian Holidays president.
