Parolee arrested in Waikele attack

Police yesterday arrested a 34-year-old man for a parole violation and on suspicion of robbing and attacking three people with a hammer and knife last Tuesday in Waikele.

Robert Flubacher was arrested yesterday at 2470 South Beretania St., police said.

Flubacher was suspected of first-degree robbery in an incident last Tuesday at a Lumiauau Street residence where he was a guest of one of the victims, a 21-year-old woman.

The two were arguing when Flubacher hit the woman with a hammer, police said. He also assaulted two men, 24 and 30, hitting them with the hammer and stabbing the younger man, officers said.

Flubacher took the woman's keys and fled in her car, police said.
