Ken Berry joins The Advertiser

Ken Berry, longtime publisher of MidWeek, has been named director of sales/special projects for The Honolulu Advertiser.
Berry, 58, will be responsible for special advertising projects and products for The Advertiser and will report to Mark Adkins, The Advertiser's senior vice president for marketing.
Michael J. Fisch, president and publisher of The Advertiser, announced Berry's appointment yesterday.
"We had a need to strengthen our sales team and with Ken's skills he filled our needs perfectly," Fisch said.
Berry, who was also executive vice president of Oahu Publications, parent company of the Honolulu Star-Bulletin, worked for MidWeek for more than 20 years. He will join The Advertiser on Jan. 1.
Berry previously worked as editor of West Hawaii Today on the Big Island and as general manager for the Virginia Beach Sun.
Berry graduated from the University of Montana in 1970 with bachelor's degrees in journalism and art.
