United extends flight discounts

United Airlines said it will extend discounts on flights to Hawai'i and other destinations to May 19. The previous travel deadline for the discounted fares was late March.

The one-way fare from Los Angeles to Maui, for example, is $239, the airline said. One way from Washington, D.C., to Maui is $313.

The discount is good on flights booked before Dec. 28. Bookings must be seven days in advance, with a Saturday-night stay.
