Orphan fund, toy drive unite

The Twin Towers Orphan Fund, a national, nonprofit charitable trust fund that offers tuition assistance and health-care benefits to children who lost one or both parents in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, has joined the New York region Toys for Tots campaign for several activities. Anyone can donate a gift by sending new, unwrapped toys to: U.S. Marines Toys for Tots, Attention: GySgt Owens/TTOF, AFRC FBF, Brooklyn, NY 11234.

The charities also will accept donations of gift certificates from major, national toy or department stores at TTOF, 900 22nd St., Bakersfield, CA 93301. The fund will also benefit surviving minors of U.S. citizens lost to anthrax letters and other vehicles of terrorism against the United States.
