Newlyweds

Hilda Leviste, daughter of Quintin V. and Nina A. Leviste of Mission Viejo, Calif., and Aaron Kazuo Miyashiro, son of Steven J. and Janyce M. Miyashiro of Honolulu, were married Nov. 3 at Calvary-By-The-Sea Lutheran Church. The reception followed at Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. The bride (1992 California State University-Fullerton, bachelor's degree), now Hilda Leviste Miyashiro, is a senior credit analyst. The groom (1991 Honolulu Community College, associate's degree) is a fleet technician and a student at Kapi'olani Community College. They live in Kaimuki.

Valerie Akiko Sumida, daughter of Calvin and Wilma Sumida of Waipahu, and Christian Castillo, son of Leonilo Castillo of the Philippines and Nenita Long of Honolulu, were married Nov. 3 at the Marriott Ihilani Resort. The reception followed at Eastern Garden Chinese Seafood Restaurant. The bride (1997 Iolani School), now Valerie A.S. Castillo, is a full-time student at the University of Hawai'i-Manoa. The groom is in the Army. They have a son, Ryan Jordan Sumida-Castillo, 4 months, and they live in Waipahu.

Engagements

John and Victoria Pagba of Honolulu, and Tomas and Alicia Barrientos of Lihu'e, have announced the engagement of their children, Myra Garma Pagba and Tom Allen Barrientos. Pagba, of Honolulu, is a registered nurse. Barrientos, of Honolulu, is formerly of Wailuku. They plan to be wed Dec. 29 in Honolulu.

Darlene Michelle Wade and Michael Vincent Dooling have announced their engagement. Wade, of Dallas, is the daughter of Mike Wade of Clarksdale, Miss. Dooling, of Dallas, formerly of Pearl City, is the son of Pat and Corky Dooling of Tacoma, Wash. Darlene Wade is a teacher. Michael Dooling is an information technology manager of corporate systems at a telecommunications company. They plan to be wed March 23 in Rockwall, Texas.
