CPB to pay larger dividend

The board of directors of CPB Inc., holding company of Central Pacific Bank, declared a fourth-quarter cash dividend of 18 cents a common share, up 5.9 percent from 17 cents a share in the previous quarter.

Total dividends of 67 cents per share declared in 2001 increased by 9.8 percent over the 61 cents per share declared in 2000. The dividend is payable Jan. 25 to shareholders of record as of Dec. 31

Central Pacific Bank is Hawai'i's third-largest commercial bank, with 24 branches statewide.
