Hunter education classes scheduled for early 2002

The Hawai'i Department of Land and Natural Resources will be offering free hunter education classes in January and February.

The classes, which are open to anyone 10 years of age or above, will be held at various locations around O'ahu.

Subjects included in the classes will include firearm and archery safety, survival, first aid, wildlife identification, conservation, rules and regulations and game care.

Attendance at all sessions is required for certification.

The classes will be Jan. 4-5 at the Nimitz Business Center; Jan. 18-19 at the Nimitz Business Center; Feb. 1-2 at the Wai'anae Public Library; and Feb. 15-16 at the Nimitz Business Center.
