Hawai'i beats Georgia to win Rainbow Classic

The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team defeated Georgia, 54-44, tonight to win the Rainbow Classic tournament at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Hawai'i improved to 9-2. Georgia is 11-2.

Phil Martin led the Rainbows with 13 points, 13 rebounds and one blocked shot. UH guard Predrag Savovic scored a game-high 19 points. Chris Daniels led the Bullsdogs with 10 points, eight rebounds and an assist.

UH trailed 28-24 at halftime.

Hawai'i defeated Portland and Iona to reach the championship game.
