Man arrested in sex assault
Honolulu police arrested a Hilo man yesterday after he allegedly sexually assaulted and kidnapped his girlfriend. The victim, a 20-year-old Kalihi resident, told police her 25-year-old boyfriend was visiting over the holidays, but the two got into an argument about 10:30 a.m. yesterday.
Police said the boyfriend then became abusive and forced sex on the victim.
Later, the victim dropped off her boyfriend at Honolulu International Airport and called police. Officers arrested the man at the airport.
