UH-Hilo defeats Ashbury, 71-64

Kyle Bartholomew had 15 points and 10 rebounds, his second consecutive double-double and sixth of the season, leading the University of Hawai'i-Hilo (10-2) over Ashbury (12-4) in a men's basketball game at Afook Chinen Civic in Hilo.

Ryan Hogue added 13 points, Scott Prather 12 and Derek Mgbeke 11 for Hawai'i-Hilo which won its eighth straight game.

Will Shouse hit 5 of 10 3-pointers and scored 20 points to lead the Eagles from Wilmore, Ky. As a team, Asbury made 11 of 20 3-pointers.

• Hawai'i Pacific 69, Presbyterian College (S.C.) 58: Alvin Stephenson scored 16 points to lead three teammates in double figures as the Sea Warriors (7-3) held off the Blue Hose (7-3) at Blaisdell Arena.

Nash Subotic and Nic Walters added 15 points each, and Nate Block contributed 12 for the Sea Warriors.

Rod Isom made 7 of 7 field goals and all seven of his free throws for 21 points, the only Blue Hose player to reach double figures.
