Disaster, aging programs offered

Volunteering during natural disasters and for aging programs are among dozens of topics that will be covered at the 2002 Governor's International Conference on Volunteerism, Feb. 22-26 at the Hawai'i Convention Center. "Sharing Aloha in the Global Village" will feature over 60 workshops and seminars, including a program that focuses on youth volunteers (8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Feb. 23), as well as the expo on disaster readiness (9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 23, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Feb. 24). Also among the events:
- Forum on Productive Aging: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Feb. 22.
- Rhythms of Aloha Welcome and Recognition Dinner: 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 24.
- Workshops and Seminars: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., on Feb. 25; and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 26.
