• Young Brothers Ltd. has announced the promotions of Steve Renstrom and Denise Iseri-Matsubara. Renstrom was promoted from barge terminal superintendent in Honolulu to East Hawai'i manager on the Big Island. He is responsible for the Port of Hilo and its surrounding areas. Iseri-Matsubara has been promoted from customer services supervisor to manager, customer service.

Deline Pi'ilani Nelsen has been appointed director of marketing for First Hawaii Title Corp. She was promoted from the program director position she held for three years.

• First Hawaiian Bank announced the promotion of Diane Chong to assistant vice president, Trust Financial Management Department. Chong joined First Hawaiian Bank in 1979 as a teller and was promoted to customer consultant in 1986. She was promoted to trust investment assistant in 1992, trust operations supervisor in 1994, investment specialist in 1996 and investment officer in 1997.

First Hawaiian Bank also announced the appointments of Susan Cooper to trust officer, Personal Trust Department; Clayton Hirano to PC & LANS officer, PC & LANS Department; and Annie Lui to PC & LANS officer, PC & LANS Department.

Jon Rasmussen, former general manager and creative director of MM&M Advertising, has joined ad agency Loomis Inc., supervising the agency's Cutter Automotive, Tesoro Hawaii and Pacific LightNet accounts.

• The Kohala Coast Resort Association has named Waikoloa Land Co.'s Thos Rohr president for his ninth term and fifth consecutive year. The resort association represents five upscale resort communities — Hualalai, Kona Village, Mauna Kea, Mauna Lani and Waikoloa — which between them have eight luxury hotels, 1,045 residences, seven championship golf courses and shopping areas.

• Belt Collins Hawaii Ltd., a planning, engineering, landscape architecture and environmental design firm, has announced the promotion of Aaron Akau to landscape architect, responsible for design and project management. He joined Belt Collins in 1997.
