Celebrations

George and Janice DeMetropolis of Mililani celebrated their 25th anniversary with a dinner held by their daughter Christina, 18, and son Damon, 15, on June 23 at their home. The DeMetropolises were married June 19, 1976, in Bradley Beach, N.J., and have three children: George, 23, Christina and Damon. George DeMetropolis, a retired Navy commander, is a manager. James Keiki'ilanimakamae Levi Makaio of Honolulu celebrated his first birthday with a dinner lu'au held by his parents, Donna Leina'alao'ka-lani Makaio and James Levi Makaio II, on May 26 at the PWC in Salt Lake. James was born May 26, 2000.

Eric Mariano Rivera of Pearl City celebrated his first birthday with a luncheon given by his parents, Albert and Joanne Rivera; his grandmother, Stella S. Uehara; and his grandparents, Hilario and Veronica Rivera, on June 10 at the Pagoda Hotel. Eric was born June 10, 2000.
