Tom Selleck strums to a different beat

Jimmy Da Geek has a baby geek now. Jimmy "Da Geek" Bender and his wife Tracey welcomed Tyler Kiyonobu Kaleonamanu Bender last June 7; the boy was 7 pounds 6 ounces.

"He must be hapa 'cause all my wife's Japanese side says he looks haole, and my haole side says he looks Japanese," Bender says.

He is based in Phoenix now, since leaving the Hawai'i radio marketplace ...

Mary Ann Changg, the fashion photographer, has had a whirlwind New York visit. Started with a shoot of canoe paddler Donna Kahiwa Kahakui during her recent Hudson River paddle from West Point to the Statue of Liberty. Included a meeting with Sharon Blakely, older sister of the artist presently known as Prince, and with Pono Pavich Tuinei, widow of Mark, the Dallas Cowboy footballer and Na'u Kamali'i, and took in the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" on Broadway, where Blakely works.

Changg was so exhausted from her photo work, she actually napped during the rock musical, which created a quiet stir. "Nobody ever sleeps during the 'Rocky Horror Show,' " Blakely told her after an aide saw her snoozing.

Changg was so tired, she didn't even know that Brooke Shields was standing next to her at one point. But she did see celebs — Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick, the one-two punch from "The Producers," at dinner late that night at Joe Allen's ...
